Nature’s Architects - Veil House

Playing with the idea of layers of public and private, Veil House is inspired by the mushroom of the same name - shrouded by a fabric veil, where you can only glimpse what might be happening inside... Veil House appropriates the idea of the modernist Farnsworth House, and reinterprets the ‘Curtain Wall’ as a hand crocheted mesh, which also pays homage to Chelsea’s links to the fashion industry.

The model consists of gold and coppper mesh, and mahagony panels.  Which we imaging cool be made of re purposed and recycled materials.
